Dr. Paula Robinson is the founder of Phoenix Counseling: Beauty From Ashes LLC.

She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona and Virginia. Dr. Robinson holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) with a specialization in Traumatology, which further informs her trauma-informed and client-centered approach to counseling.

With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, she specializes in helping women navigate trauma, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), sexual trauma recovery, anxiety, shame, negative core beliefs, and other life challenges. Her work incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and Christian Counseling.

Before becoming a therapist, Dr. Robinson spent more than twenty years as an educator while also serving in the Army Reserves for ten years. Through her work in education and mental health, she developed a deep appreciation for the power of supportive relationships, resilience, and personal growth.

Dr. Robinson is passionate about helping women heal, grow, and move toward emotional wellness and restoration. She believes healing is possible and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move toward renewed hope and resilience.

Faith is foundational to who Dr. Robinson is and to the work she does. She believes healing, growth, and restoration are possible and that every individual has inherent worth, value, and purpose. For clients who desire it, faith and spiritual practices may be incorporated into counseling alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches in a manner that respects each individual's beliefs, values, and goals.
