Focus Areas
At Phoenix Counseling: Beauty From Ashes LLC, we provide individual trauma-informed counseling for women (18-64) navigating emotional pain, trauma, stress, and life challenges. Our approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique experiences and needs.
Below are some of the areas we commonly support clients through.
Trauma & PTSD
Traumatic experiences can leave lasting emotional, psychological, and physical effects long after the event has passed. Trauma may impact relationships, emotional regulation, self-worth, trust, daily functioning, and a person’s sense of safety.
Our practice provides a supportive environment where individuals can process traumatic experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward healing and restoration at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Military Sexual Trauma (MST)
Military Sexual Trauma can have profound and lasting effects on emotional wellness, relationships, identity, trust, and overall functioning. Many survivors carry feelings of shame, isolation, hypervigilance, or difficulty feeling emotionally safe.
Our practice recognizes the unique challenges associated with MST and provides trauma-informed support for individuals navigating the impact of these experiences.
Sexual Trauma Recovery
Healing from sexual trauma is a deeply personal journey. The effects of sexual trauma can impact emotional well-being, relationships, self-worth, trust, and a sense of safety. Counseling offers a compassionate space to process difficult experiences, rebuild trust in yourself and others, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing, restoration, and renewed hope.
Women’s Trauma
Women may carry the effects of many different forms of trauma, including sexual trauma, relationship trauma, emotional abuse, betrayal, childhood wounds, and other painful life experiences. These experiences can affect self-worth, trust, boundaries, relationships, emotional well-being, and one's sense of identity and safety.
Counseling provides a supportive space to process painful experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and begin reconnecting with one’s sense of identity, voice, values, and personal empowerment.
Veterans
Military service can involve experiences and stressors that continue long after service ends. Veterans may experience trauma-related symptoms, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, anxiety, difficulty adjusting, or challenges reconnecting with others.
Our practice provides supportive counseling that recognizes the unique experiences associated with military service while helping individuals build coping strategies and emotional resilience.
First Responders & Law Enforcement
First responders and law enforcement professionals are frequently exposed to chronic stress, trauma, crisis situations, and high-pressure environments that can impact emotional wellness and personal relationships.
Counseling offers a confidential and supportive space to process stress, manage emotional exhaustion, strengthen coping skills, and support overall mental wellness.
Shame & Negative Core Beliefs
Past experiences, trauma, relationships, and life events can contribute to deeply rooted beliefs about oneself, including feelings of shame, inadequacy, guilt, or unworthiness.
Therapy can help individuals identify unhealthy thought patterns, challenge negative core beliefs, develop self-awareness, and move toward healthier perspectives and emotional healing.
Anxiety, Depression, & Emotional Regulation
Anxiety and depression can affect thoughts, emotions, physical health, relationships, and daily functioning. Individuals may experience excessive worry, racing thoughts, irritability, difficulty relaxing, emotional overwhelm, persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, low motivation, fatigue, or feeling stuck and disconnected.
Our practice helps individuals develop coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, grounding techniques, and healthier ways to manage stress, anxiety, and depression while working toward greater balance and well-being.
Christian Counseling
For clients who desire it, counseling may incorporate faith-based perspectives and Christian counseling principles alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Faith integration is always client-led and tailored to each individual’s personal beliefs, comfort level, and goals for therapy.
Healing Is Possible
Healing is not about perfection. It is about learning to navigate life with greater self-awareness, emotional wellness, resilience, and hope. You do not have to walk through the healing journey alone.
